Booking Terms & Conditions

1. Payment
Groups must have one-person co-ordinating all arrangements. Please make one payment by direct credit or cheque.

Deposit: To secure your booking a $500 deposit is required.

Balance of payment is required before or upon arrival by cash,cheque or direct credit; WiFi and broadband available.

Cancellation:

Full refund for cancellations more than 6 months
No refund for cancellations less than 6 months

2. Catering
All catering requirements must be confirmed 10 days prior to your event. Deposit payment of 50% is due 4 weeks prior to your event date. Final payment of balance is due prior to departure.

3. Self-catering
Prior to departure this kitchen is to be handed back fully cleaned and tidied.

Please ensure: • All dishes are washed and put away • Ovens, stove tops, microwave cleaned • Benches wiped down and floor swept • Fridges wiped down • For hygiene reasons kitchen equipment & utensils etc are to be used for food consumption purposes only.

Dishes require rinsing prior to putting in the dishwasher.

Charges will apply if additional cleaning required.

Riverslea’s water is safe for drinking from any of the cold taps. Clean river water fed straight from the mountains runs through our showers and taps, a UV lamp is used for purification.

4. Noise Pollution
At Riverslea Retreat we wish to maintain our contribution to the peace and harmony in the area and we respect the rights and welfare of all people and wildlife that we share the area with. Therefore please keep noise to a reasonable level at all times. Noise curfew at 9am.

5. Parking
Please park vehicles in the parking area inside the main entrance only. A clear access way must be maintained to the Lodge and Cottage at all times.

6. Cleaning
At the end of your stay, please ensure the buildings and grounds are tidy. If the grounds and buildings are not left in an acceptable condition then additional cleaning charges will be incurred. Cost to remove carpet stains $90.

7. Damage
Repair and replacement of items and/or fittings damaged during your stay, other than normal wear and tear, will be charged to the hirer.

8. Missing Items
Please ensure all items in the work room, bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms etc are not moved or altered. Any missing items such as pillows ($70) will be charged at a replacement cost and will be invoiced accordingly to the hirer.

9. Staff Access
Riverslea reserves the right to access the Lodge and Cottage during your stay, for the purpose of inspection or routine maintenance and repairs. However, care will be taken not to interfere or interrupt your programme unless urgent repairs need to be carried out. Guests have the right to ask any persons on the property to identify themselves.

10. No Liability
Riverslea Retreat Ltd accepts no liability for any illness, injury or loss resulting from or relating to any activities that guests may engage in either on or off the premises. For your own safety guests must be mindful that Riverslea Retreat is located in the country with natural rivers, bush and mountains. While every effort is made to ensure the safety of our guests, all walks, swimming and activities are undertaken at your own risk. Group leaders, supervisors, and caregivers must be suitably experienced to supervise children and other members of their groups.

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PERSON MAKING THE BOOKING TO ENSURE THAT THESE CONDITIONS ARE ADHERED TO.   CONFIRMATION OF YOUR BOOKING IS SUBJECT TO ACCEPTANCE OF THESE CONDITIONS.

All information you provide by email, written correspondence, and verbal conversation are maintained on private files and will remain in strictest confidentiality. Information given is used to enable us to provide you with a quality service.
Riverslea Retreat does not sell, rent or trade your email address to third parties.
